About this launch
Progress M-24 was an uncrewed Progress-M cargo spacecraft, an upgraded design with Soyuz TM-derived systems, that delivered propellant, water, food and equipment to the Mir space station. Its two automatic docking attempts failed, the second ending in a collision with Mir, before it was docked manually.
