ALEXIS (Array of Low Energy X-ray Imaging Sensors) was a Los Alamos National Laboratory satellite funded by the US Department of Energy, carrying six extreme-ultraviolet/soft X-ray telescopes to map the sky and monitor variable sources. Despite a solar panel damaged at launch it operated for twelve years.
