About this launch
Kosmos 133 was the first uncrewed test flight of the Soyuz 7K-OK spacecraft, intended to dock with a second Soyuz launched a day later. Attitude-control problems used up its fuel, and when the reentry trajectory threatened to land in China the spacecraft was destroyed by its self-destruct system.
