DESCRIPTION:Kosmos 140 was the third uncrewed test of the Soyuz 7K-OK space
 craft. It suffered attitude-control problems in orbit and a steep reentry 
 that burned a hole in the heat shield\; the capsule landed on the frozen A
 ral Sea\, broke through the ice and sank\, but the flight was judged good 
 enough to proceed toward crewed missions.
